What is Somatic counseling
This somatic therapeutic approach is based on the Pantarei method. It works by combining cognitive and verbal communication with touch and awareness of physical sensations. This process creates a space of deep intimacy within oneself and strengthens the ability to take care of the present challenges in life.
The focus of this approach is cultivating awareness by paying attention to the physical sensations through touch while attending to thoughts, emotions, beliefs and intentions in an ongoing relational dialogue. This practice encourages us to connect with ourselves through sensitivity, self-compassion and authenticity, so new responses to old patterns can emerge.
From an embodied experience we can hold space for tensions, pain, chronicle conditions, feelings of anxiety, depression and states of inner conflict that are requiring attention. Letting emotions be experienced throughout this process can deepen our understanding and bring new energy to our present situation and personal history.
By reflecting on our resources drawing from past experiences in a present state, we can connect with the innate wisdom within us. This connection offers clarity and guides us toward self-regulation, enabling change, personal growth, and the realization of our potential.
How does a session look like
Each session is divided into two main parts.
The first part is a conversation in which we explore what is currently present in your life—this could be a situation, emotion, or theme that feels relevant or important to you. This dialogue helps clarify your focus and sets the direction for the rest of the session.
In the second part, you’ll lie on a massage table while we continue our conversation. I’ll use a combination of touch and at times subtle movements to support your awareness of physical sensations, emotional patterns, and areas of tension or resistance related to the topic we're working with.
This process is not about fixing or getting rid of anything. It's about creating a safe space where you can fully experience what is present—including defense mechanisms and protective patterns. As we work with these signals, we explore where tension, resistance, or pain may be held in the body, gently encouraging you to feel, acknowledge, and process these sensations while recognizing what your body is communicating.
Throughout the session, the focus remains on your resources—your strength and where you can feel support. This helps cultivate emotional regulation and resilience. As your capacity expands, you become better equipped to navigate intense emotions like fear, sadness, or anger without becoming overwhelmed. This can help to create greater self-awareness, emotional well-being, and choice in how you relate to yourself and others.
At the end of the session, you’ll have a moment of quiet rest to integrate the experience, allowing your system to settle. While each session can be meaningful on its own, ongoing work often leads to deeper and more sustained transformation. I invite you to consider a series of sessions to build trust, support your process, and deepen your journey of self-discovery.
What to Expect in a Somatic Therapy Session
1. Guided Conversation
We begin by exploring what’s currently present in your life—any situation, emotion, or theme that feels important to you to develop in depth. This dialogue helps bring clarity and guides the focus of the session, allowing us to tune into what is active in the moment.
2. Hands-On Bodywork
Next, you’ll lie down on a massage table while we continue the conversation through the focus on the body. With the support of gentle touch, breathwork, and subtle movement, we invite awareness into physical sensations and areas of tension or holding. This part of the session helps uncover how your body may be storing unprocessed emotions or protective responses related to trauma, stress, or daily life challenges.
3. Integration & Closure
To close the session, you’ll be given a few quiet minutes to simply rest and let the experience settle—without talking, just allowing the body to integrate the work. This stillness is a valuable part of the process, helping your system absorb and reorganize what has been touched.
Continuing the process
While each session can stand on its own, deeper and lasting transformation often happens over time. If you feel called, we can continue working together through a series of sessions, tailored to your personal process and rhythm. Ongoing sessions offer the space to build trust, deepen the work, and support long-term healing and self-discovery.

About me
My name is Kailin. I was born in Chile and have been living in Berlin since 2019. My connection to the body began early through a lifelong relationship with dance, which eventually led me to become a professional contemporary dancer. During a period of physical recovery in my career, I discovered Pilates and became a certified teacher, with a focus on physical rehabilitation and the restoration of foundational movement principles. This background shaped my perceptual awareness of movement and sensation as essential tools for engaging with the world and understanding myself.
Alongside my work in movement, I developed a deep interest in self-development and mindfulness practices. I trained as a Dynamic Mindfulness Yoga Teacher within the Buddhist tradition, incorporating meditation and other disciplines into my daily life.
My curiosity and commitment to personal growth eventually led me to explore somatic therapy and bodywork in greater depth. I believe that embodied awareness reveals a subtle yet profound intelligence—one that can guide us toward self-compassion, contentment, creativity, and joy. Motivated by this understanding, I studied the Pantarei Approach and developed a dedicated somatic therapy practice, which has become the heart of my professional work.
